LightBulbs Unlimited

3 06 2007

Welcome, everyone, to LightBulbs(TM) Unlimited. I don’t sell light bulbs on the internet or in person. I’m here to share to everyone my ideas, those light bulbs that suddenly pop in my head that I deem so brilliant that I feel the need to record them and upload them here.

I still haven’t got everything planned, so I don’t know if I can post material on a regular basis. My brain works in a very peculiar manner so I can’t say that I could have one brilliant idea for today, one for tomorrow, one for Tuesday, etc. The only definite things at the moment are that I’m going to be using my mobile phone a Sony Ericsson K610i (not too fancy, but does its job alright) to record my pseudo-podcasts (so I could record audio wherever I am whenever I want to) and that I’ll be using Odeo to store and stream my audio files. I’m still not sure, though, whether they could process AMR files. Any Odeo users out here who can answer my question?

Anyway, I expect to hear from people who stop by this blog and have time to listen to me. I want to believe that I’m not snobbish, and that I’m rather open to suggestions. Who knows, I might be under the impression that my ideas are too good to let go of when in the end they’re mere rubbish to you.

Until then, buona sera. Ciao!

Welcome to the blogging world! I hope that your blog would strive as you spread those lightbulbs of yours all over the internet.

Anyways, about your question on ODEO, I think that they only make use of MP3s. I have an accont there and they dont seem to supprt AMR. You can convert it AMR using a converter program and then you use Audacity ( a free software program that lets you edit your music files).

Wow! A commenter this early! I’m so happy! Hahaha.

Thanks for answering my question on Odeo and AMR files. Maybe I should convert them on my notebook. But maybe just that, I don’t want to do a lot of editing because that takes away from the main concept of the show.

Thanks again, Karlo!

If you are ever up to it and have a decent digital camera that also takes video you can make video podcasts as well. In fact I have been doing video now for a few months and once I can get all of my conversions done I am making my work available on iTunes! Good luck with yor podcasts and with your blog!

Thomas Edison
Invented the lightbulb. Without it he couldn’t see how to work his phonograph.

Incandescent
Mrs Edison was very, very cross at the amount of time her husband was spending in the outhouse.

Filament
What Mr Edison’s marriage hung by.

Electric current
Early attempts to fit dried fruit with a plug failed to produce much illumination.

Voltage
You have to be over 18 to buy a bulb.
